My Story
![]() |
Formally trained as an engineer, I am a self-taught artist. I live in the Colorado foothills, a setting that serves as inspiration for my art and as a base from which to explore the Rocky Mountains. I enjoy being outdoors: hiking in the mountains, horseback riding in the forests, or sitting on a rock by a river. My art is based on the profound beauty of nature and I work to capture that vitality and energy in each piece. I continually experiment with new techniques and materials and invariably have several pieces underway at any time. To me, exploring the mountains and forests to find natural materials is as enjoyable as creating the art itself. Having people share my appreciation of the natural world by enjoying my sculpture, both visually and through touch, is what gives me the greatest satisfaction in my work.
